1. What happens if I book a teacher and the teacher does not respond to the booking ?
This does not happen very often. Once a job offer is created the teacher instantly receives an SMS message and an email. However, if a teacher were to not respond within five minutes - we intervene and make sure that the school receives a response. We are pleased to say that between a school offer and a job being accepted we average three minutes. The system works very quickly and really well - but we do accept that things can happen which is why we monitor all bookings.
2. The member of staff responsible for sourcing supply teachers is not very secure with IT - is this a problem?
Our system is very easy to use and we are happy to come and work with the member of staff who will be using it to provide training and guidance. We also have a helpline which can be used to answer any questions and to assist with a booking if needed.
3. What happens if we make a booking and then we realise that we do not need a teacher after all?
This can happen - and has done quite a bit because of COVID. It is not a problem as we can organise for the booking to be cancelled.
4. How do we receive vetting information?
The platform automatically sends a school a copy of the teacher's DBS certificate once a booking has been accepted by a teacher. School will also receive an electronic copy of the vetting checks that SupplySupplied.com have carried out prior to a teacher being approved.
5. How do I choose between the different teachers that are available?
School is able to find out more about each teacher by clicking on their profile picture. We ask teachers to complete a short pen portrait which gives a good insight into their teaching experience and way of working. School is also able to see how many bookings a teacher has received and feedback from these prior bookings.
